What is a beauceron?
The Beauceron is a very old breed developed in France, first mentioned in the late 1500’s. It is a general purpose breed, originally developed to guard the farm and herd sheep and cattle, as well as protecting the home and family. These days, in addition to farm work, they make wonderful active companions. They are intelligent, tireless, and eye-catching dogs that need to keep their minds and bodies busy.
